House 17 on Upper Maslovka, overhauled, which now houses a business center. A modern building with a complex of applied engineering solutions forms the space of the street in a new way. Thanks to the strengthening of the existing wall foundations, as well as internal columns, it became possible to organize additional metal frames that support the updated monolithic interfloor ceilings. Due to the use of special technologies, part of the facade wall was removed and reinforced with a metal clip. And in its place, a glass stained-glass window was mounted to the height of the entire building, which serves as a bright accent for a holistic perception.
From the outside, the building is faced with gray brick, and the window openings are reinforced with metal slopes “at dawn”, which sets the dynamics and rhythm for the facades of the building.
Since the zero mark of the first floor is located at ground level and the entrance from the lobby is directly to the street, the paving stones used around the business center create a base from which the windows visually grow, thereby increasing the aesthetic and functional characteristics.
The class of the building and the operation of the internal space have increased due to the designed and implemented elevator. As a result, barrier-free movement of groups of citizens with limited mobility was ensured. The area around the business center allows organizing parking spaces for employees’ cars.
The reconstruction of the building from the outside entirely depends on the internal content, on the atmosphere in the interior. The floor slabs are organized in such a way that a special place and significance is allocated to the entrance group and recreational spaces. The preservation of a certain mood, the rarity of the building is achieved by modern stylistic principles, in this case, the loft style is taken as the basis. The columns are all faced with brownish brick, the floors are saturated with an ideal stone surface, and the double-height space of the hall has a comfortable working environment, beyond.
The main accent works – a chessboard, which serves as a decorative surface near the elevator. Throughout all the floors, the two-coloured wooden texture sets a fast-paced active visual flow, the purpose of which is to reflect the businesslike yet thoughtful rhythm and strategic development.
