The main objective of the project lies in the complex reorganization of the territory and the formation of a transport interchange hub on it that fully meets the requirements of the general plan of the city.
The project proposes to solve a number of tasks. First, move the platform of the Petrovsko-Razumovskaya station of the Oktyabrskaya railway 500 meters closer to the Petrovsko-Razumovskaya metro station, design a new railway platform of the Savelovsky direction, 1400 meters away from the Timiryazevskaya platform and 1200 m to the platform “Okruzhnaya”. Second, clean and expand the territory of the existing bus station. The resulting full area will create the ground floor zone of the hub complex. In addition, create another bus station from the south facade.
The building of the transportation hub with a high bright lobby is planned over the existing metro stations Petrovsko-Razumovskaya 1 and Petrovsko-Razumovskaya 2. Despite the fact that the lobby simultaneously transfers to all types of urban transport, there is a clear distinction of pedestrian flows. For example, the new station of the Savelovskaya railway can be reached via a ramp equipped with travelators. A transfer to the Petrovsko-Razumovskaya station is carried out via an underground passage. The two-level railway is connected by vertical communications and a sculpted reinforced concrete support, in which a staircase is located. The entrances to the subway remained in the same places. Signs and electronic scoreboards in the lobbies will allow one to navigate quickly and select the needed direction.
On different levels of the building there is a supermarket, a pharmacy, a bank, a post office, an atelier, a hairdresser, flower stalls, press counters and a cafe. The administration of the building complex and technical quarters are located in a dedicated area with a separate entrance. The car owners can reach the two-level parking for 1500 cars by elevators, not only from the railway station building, but also directly from the platforms.
